Well, what is new this week? Zac was sick but is much better now. He had a bad cold and cough. Now I have it but 10 times worse since I stood out in the freezing cold wind on Saturday for Morgan's game. Now I have this nasty cough that keeps me up all night....makes me so mad! I sure am glad Eric and Morgan have great immune systems! (knock on wood) Sunday is our 1 year anniversary! Wow, it has gone by fast but we have done sooo much in a year! Moved across Texas, started new jobs, got pregnant, bought a house, had baby Zac...WOW!

We are likely going to get a sitter for Saturday night and go out just the 2 of us. We have not done that since December so it is time!

A New Week...

Monday again! Where did the weekend go?

Not much to say today really. Morgan is back now and goes back to school today. Soccer practice resumes tonight so she is very excited about that. Zac has his 4 month checkup next week and has to get his next round of shots. :(

TGIF!

Zac has had "thrush" in his mouth. When it flares up we have to put what is called "Gentian Violet" all over the inside of his mouth. HE HATES IT. I don't blame him, I tasted it and it tastes awful. It stains his whole mouth purple for about a day or so. Looks like he's been eating a grape snow cone....

Nothing new here today. We go to Midland tomorrow to pick up Morgan. Will be a long day of driving...5 hours there and 5 hours back. That is without any stops.

Looking forward to going back to El Paso/Las Cruces in 3 weeks for Easter weekend. We are taking Friday and Monday off so I am REALLY looking forward to that!

Zac kicking back! He loves his Bumbo! Now that he has been so much more alert he likes to sit in it and watch Baby Einstein or watch whatever else is going on at the time. He has been so much more active lately. Last night he had me tuckered out. I was bouncing him in my lap and every time I would stop he would give me "the look"...like what's going on here, keep going! So I had to keep going...and going...and going. He is also jumping a lot now. He is definitely well on the way to being the little handful we all know he will be. (Can't wait!)

Seems that Buddy has taken a protective stance when it comes to Zac now. Buddy gives us the "evil eye" when we burp him. You can tell he does not like us "hitting" Zac on the back. He also stays really close to Zac if he is crying. He has now decided that he will sleep right next to Zac's crib at night also. It is so cute...we just know they are going to be best buds too...just like Morgan and Buddy. I will try to get a photo tonight of Buddy keeping watch over Zac.

Not much new here in Cowtown (Fort Worth's nickname for those that don't know). I have had a sore throat for the last week that has been getting progressively worse. Monday and yesterday it was REAL bad so I went to the "Minute Clinic" at CVS Pharmacy at lunch to get checked out. (that place is GREAT, by the way!) Turns out I have strep throat...no wonder I felt so bad. I just hope Eric and Zac do not get it! So far so good....

Morgan is in El Paso for spring break. She is spending it with her dad and gets to hang out with Gram, Grandma, Grandad and Nana as well. Sounds like she is having a good time so far! She got to see the stars through "Aunt Carol's" telescope. She really liked that! She also got lots of goodies from Gram, Grandma and Grandad...no, she is not spoiled at ALL. (rolling eyes) We will be glad to have her home on Saturday...it is eerily quiet around the house and Buddy (our dog) just does not know what to do with himself with his best friend gone!

Morgan has joined a soccer team and has had 2 practices so far. Her first game was supposed to be last Saturday but it had been raining so much they had to cancel the game. Unfortunately it looks like she will miss her first game..it will be this Saturday morning and she will still be at her dads. :( Oh well, there is always next week's game. She looks so cute in her soccer jersey and shorts.

Here is a photo of Zac...his first night sleeping in his crib. (we decided the crib might be more comfortable for him than the bassinet now) He has slept so much better in the crib! We are blessed that most nights he sleeps 7-8 hours straight. As you can see we have to wrap him up tight like a little burrito. If his arms get out they tend to have a mind of their own and will wake him up.

WARNING! You will want to turn down your volume for this video... Eric put together Zac's bouncer tonight. He is sooo small for it still. We had to take a video of him in it...

Our first ever blog entry

When I get a break throughout the day there are a few blogs I follow. There's the daycare blog from the daycare Morgan attended last summer. I also view a blog of a mom that had a baby around the same time Zac was born. Then there is the blog from the traveling couple. It is fun to follow along with them on their travels. So....I thought, as boring as our life is..maybe we should start a blog. It would be a fun way to stay connected and share recent pictures of the kids as well as share our day to day lives.

Now, don't expect too much...as I mentioned our life is not overly exciting but that is what a blog is all about, right? Just sharing what we are up to and what is on our minds at the time....

Now to see if I can get Eric to contribute....hmmm, is there a spell check on here?!
